The Teen Rock Band of RANAWAY was born from an idea of ​​Luca Medri, artistic and educational director of Cosascuola Music Academy of Forlì, during the summer of 2020, exactly after the first lockdown. It is a collective of very young musicians between 12 and 19 years old who have the goal not only to perform live but also to amaze with expressive and technical properties, for the ability to offer a great show and for familiarity with the stage, audience and cameras.

They already have numerous concerts and participations in national television competitions and talent shows such as Sanremo Rock and Tu Si Qui Vales.

Arrangements and musical direction are by maestro Livio Camorani.

They are one of the most famous teen bands in Italy, which brings together budding musicians and singers, that is, 11 teenagers between the ages of 13 and 19. The band was formed in 2020 and represented an example of true "resilience" to the many forced closures due to Covid-19: they were in fact the first band to virtually enter the classrooms of many Forlì schools (primary and lower secondary schools) thanks to the Forum Live Theatre project, produced by their music academy, that is, by Cosascuola Music Academy (www.cosascuola.it), which planned to bring music and theater to school, live on LIM blackboards and directly into the homes of children since due to the pandemic it was not possible to access school in person. Noticed by some important record producers, including Angelo Valsiglio (talent scout and author of the international hit “la solitudine” sung by Laura Pausini) at the “una voce per Sanremo” competition in Pietra-Rubbia (PU), they were able to perform as guests at the Ariston theater in Sanremo at the national final of “Sanremo-Rock” 2021. In 2021 the group was also noticed by “radio-immaginaria”, a famous web-radio well known in Italy and abroad, in the target of teenage listeners, between 11 and 17 years old and a collaboration began in the radio's “live” shows, which saw them together on some important stages in Castenaso, Castel San Pietro Terme and Bologna, as well as having animated an important event in Milan at the Ganassini Institute for the BioClin event. The concert they present consists of songs from the best International Pop-Rock interspersed with songs from the 80s / 90s with medleys to sing and dance to! The band members are really very well matched: teenage boys and girls of different ages, different interests and different experiences who have recognized themselves as a “music group” first and then become a “group of friends” who through music live a healthy experience of growth. The group is highly appreciated and sought after by institutions and organizers and despite their young career, they have already played in prestigious contexts, including in the Arena San Domenico in Forlì for the Caterina Sforza Festival (in 2021), “Mare di Musica” (in two consecutive editions, in 2021 and 2022) that is, the traditional and prestigious regional music festival in Comacchio, the Music Festival in Concordia sulla Secchia (2021) the “Emergenze Rock” 2022 review and at the Fabbrica delle Candele in Piazza Corbizzi in Forlì, where they performed together with the EQU group, achieving great success with the public and critics, in the square in Meldola for the traditional “Festa della Zucca” (2022) that is, the largest Halloween party in Romagna, and will perform on February 19, 2023 at the famous “Carnevale Civitellese” on one of the allegorical floats, for which this popular festival is famous throughout the Region. The first Maestro and arranger of the band was the musician/drummer/teacher of Cosascuola, Prof. Oriano Righi, followed by the musician/drummer, singer and Prof of Cosascuola Valerio Rotondale who left the baton for reasons of professional commitments to the esteemed Maestro arranger and musical director Livio Camorani (pianist, arranger, composer) who collaborates together with the production of the group, or by Prof. Luca Medri educational and artistic director of Cosascuola Music Academy (pianist, author, artistic producer, creator and management of the group). On 15 and 16 December 2022 the group recorded a demo at Deposito Zero Studios in Forlì under the guidance of Mattia “Matta” Dallara, the sound engineer and producer of Mario Biondi and many super Big of Music in Italy. On 10 and 11 July 2023 the group participated in the television show TU SI QUE VALES, winning 97% out of 100 votes from the popular jury chaired by Sabrina Ferilli and receiving many compliments from the technical jury, namely, Gerry Scotti, Maria De Filippi, Luciana Littizzetto and Rudy Zerbi: the episode aired on Saturday 23/09/2023 on Canale 5.

On July 28, 2023 the group participated and won the Regional final of SANREMO ROCK & TRENDS in BOLOGNA at the SUMMER FEST and at the same time participated on September 4, in the National selections at the Ariston Theater in Sanremo, winning 10th place overall, chosen from a total of over 2500 competitors from all over Italy! Recently Ranaway won a European and therefore international selection to participate in the RITMIKS Festival in Barcelona, ​​where the group will bring their energy to 3 important stages.
